地球小姐是世界公认四大选美之一，自2001年首度在菲律宾举行以来，现已发展为继环球小姐，世界小姐和国际小姐之后最具影响力和知名度的世界选美大赛。2005年共有来自全球80个国家和地区的佳丽相聚在地球小姐的舞台。目的是让环保从孩子抓起，让6到12岁的儿童都知道保护地球、爱护环境的社会责任。

About Miss Earth
The Miss Earth Pageant aims to raise awareness and responsible use of our environment and natural resources. Thus Miss Earth New Zealand Pageant aims to - “Raise the awareness of environmental issues not only around the world but also those within New Zealand. And to furthermore, develop young leaders skills that help build, protect, and sustain New Zealand’s wildlife and eco-system”. Miss Earth pageant has an environmental cause, it is primarily looking for young women who will stand for the protection and preservation of the planet. On a national level, Miss Earth New Zealand is carried out to assure that each of the participating candidates are not just physically beautiful, but environmentally knowledgeable. The winner of MISS EARTH NEW ZEALAND 2015 will represent NEW ZEALAND at MISS EARTH 2015. The winner of MISS EARTH will serve as the Ambassador to environmental protection campaigns worldwide.
